Days 2, 3, 4 Samburu
After an early breakfast and full briefing by your Professinal Safari Guide, we depart for a leisurely, 4-5 hours scenic drive northwards over the shoulder of Mount Kenya to Samburu in the Northern Frontier District. Arriving in time for a late lunch there is time to unpack and unwind before our first game drive inside the Samburu National Reserve. Samburu offers a visual feast as proud Samburu herdsman coexist with the wildlife; many rare & endemic species thrive here including Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Besia Orys, Gerenuk, Olive Baboon, Guenther’s DikDik and Reticulated Giraffe; Leopard and Elephant are plentiful. Days 5, 6 Lake Nakuru National Park
We leave after breakfast to drive 5 hours across the Rift Valley (or an optional 35 minute private charter flight) to the freshwater lake and Rhino sanctuary in Lake Nakuru National Park. Of the worlds population of 5 million flamingos, 3 million thrive on the Rift Valley soda lakes (and up to 1 million on Lake Nakuru alone). We are based right inside the Reserve and spend our days exploring this delightful wildlife sanctuary, home to so many different species including Lion, Leopard, Jackal, Hyena, Black and White Rhino and fantastic birdlife.

Days 7, 8, 9 Maasai Mara:
From Nakuru it’s a 5 hour drive (or an optional 35 minute private charter flight) to the Maasai Mara and our next adventure: the greatest wildlife experience of all. Year round the Maasai Mara Reserve is host to an enormous concentration of animals, boosted by the famous wildebeest and zebra migration during July/August/October. All the Big Cats, Elephant, Black Rhino and thousands of plains game spread out before you - it’s better than the Lion King because you are part of the spectacle.
